Authentic Korean Dining in Davao City at Nuna Restaurant

Many restaurants in Davao City are now open for dine-in customers but they need to follow the health protocols like the temperature check, hand wash, filling out the health declaration form, and sanitizing of hands. There are many restaurants to choose from including Korean restaurants.

I was tired of eating at fast-food chains and want to try something new. I haven’t tried eating in a Korean restaurant so I checked out this new stylish Korean restaurant located at Dona Vicenta Village, J.P. Laurel Ave. (Bajada), Davao City. It is near Chowking Bajada, just across the famous Victoria Plaza Mall. Location wise, it is very accessible by public utility jeepneys. The place is clean and comfy. Most of us Filipinos especially the millennials like Kdrama, Kpop, and Korean dishes that is why Korean restaurant is also a hit in Davao City.

This tiny restaurant called Nuna Korean restaurant has a beautiful stylish interior. I like the white wooden table and chairs and their comfy velvet lounge sofa perfect for Instagram photoshoot.

Their best seller is their Kimchi which is P200 per kilo. Many customers buy their Kimchi for takeout. This Korean food is said to strengthen the immune system because it is made from vegetables. Sadly I cannot eat spicy foods.

Their foods are somewhat pricey. Be prepared to have a budget not less than P800 for a meal of two. For lunch, we tried Jjageul-i (P260), Bibimpap, and their soup which has large dumplings which are very tasty and good for sharing. Jjageul-i (I don’t know how to pronounce the word) is meaty, soft, and yummy. It is made of pork, potato and spicy soup. One serving is good for sharing.
